Professional Interest/Expertise/Specializations:
David M. Parham, M.D., is currently a Professor of Pathology at the University of Oklahoma Health Science Center and Pathology reviewer for the Children┬┐s Oncology Group (COG). His areas of expertise include the pathobiology of childhood soft tissue and bone neoplasms, particularly rhabdomyosarcoma and Ewing sarcoma. His research focuses on histological classification and diagnosis of childhood sarcomas and its relationship to molecular alterations in cytodifferentiation and clonal evolution. He is the founding Chair of the COG Pathology Discipline and a former President of the Society for Pediatric Pathology. He has authored 2 textbooks, 35 book chapters, and more than 200 peer-reviewed publications, and he is a recognized international expert in childhood sarcomas.
