Professional Interest/Expertise/Specializations:
Dr. Escobedo is best known for her research in respiratory care, particularly for the development of a premature baboon bronchopulmonary dysplasia model, a research resource which has produced a wealth of knowledge on both prevention and treatment. She is involved in a number of clinical studies currently. Dr Escobedo continues to find her greatest satisfaction at the bedside, taking care of patients and teaching. She served on the Initial Planning Committee for NeoPrep and has been integrally involved in every subsequent course.
