Professional Interest/Expertise/Specializations:
I am a family physician currently working as a Professor in the Clinical Sciences Division of the Department of Family and Preventive Medicine at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center. I was previously employed as an academic family physician acting as a Clinical Associate Director and Assistant Professor of Family Medicine at the West Side Family Practice Center, a community based Family Medicine residency program sponsored by Akron General Medical Center and affiliated with Northeastern Ohio Universities College of Medicine. My public health experience includes 3 years in the U.S. Public Health Service in the Indian Health Service stationed in Bethel, Alaska. My areas of interest include medical decision making and medical informatics. In my work in the Clinical Decision Making Program, I develop decision analyses for medical problems and study ways to support decision making by health care providers and patients. I also have extensive experience with various primary care health services research methods
