Puneet Sindhwani, M.D., joined the Department of Urology at the OU Health Sciences Center as an associate professor in October, 2005. He is a graduate of the urology residency program at the Medical College of Ohio in Toledo. He spent one year in kidney transplant and research, and also obtained Master of Science in biomedical science from the Medical College of Ohio before accepting a position as Chief of the Urologic Surgery Section at the Overton Brooks VA Medical Center in Shreveport, Louisiana and as Assistant Professor of Urology in the Department of Urology at the Louisiana State Health Science Center, Shreveport.
In addition to his teaching activities both within OUHSC and in the community at large, Dr. Sindhwani also serves as the surgical director of renal transplantation at the Oklahoma Transplant Center. He also is the director of the state¿s only pediatric renal transplant program at The Children¿s Hospital, and Chief of Urology at the Oklahoma City VA Medical Center. He is the Section Chief of Male Infertility and Andrology and collaborates closely with the OU Reproductive Center in evaluation and treatment of couples with fertility problems. He has an adjunct faculty appointment in the department of Radiation Oncology and spearheads the Prostatic Brachytherapy program for prostate cancer.
