Professional Interest/Expertise/Specializations:
Dr. Bard holds expertise in quantitative psychology, psychometrics, and biostatistics. He is currently an Associate Professor of Pediatrics at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center, a position that has led to numerous Investigator positions on NIH, CDC, State-Government, and other DHHS funded longitudinal studies of children and families. His research interests include prevention science, medical decision-making, behavior genetics, clinical trials methodology, longitudinal analyses, and testing and measurement in the behavioral sciences. He is actively involved in funded research studying developmental childhood disorders of Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder and Autism, Home Visiting programs designed to promote family well-being and health and prevent incidence of child abuse and neglect, behavior genetics methodology, parenting interventions for addressing child behavior problems, and, more broadly, implementation science for developmental and behavior pediatrics interventions and systems of care. He is a founder of the REDCap Governance Body, and his team has contributed to the development of REDCapR, a package of utilities integrating REDCap with R statistical computing software.
